Sergio Orozco
Award Winning Home Furniture Designer Sergio Orozco, is a rare combination of talent, international experience and background. Born in Popayan , Colombia where he studied violin for many years, then at the age of 18 he moved to the Capital , Bogota, planning to pursue his musical studies. His goals changed, however, when he found he was developing even more serious interest in art, design and architecture. So, after two years of fine woodworking and musical instrument construction in Bogota, he moved to Europe where he travelled extensively and studied painting, sculpture and design. He speaks French, Italian, English and Spanish.
In 1980, he came to New York where he attended The Parsons School of Design. Sergio has some pretty definite ideas about his role as a Home Furnishings designer.
In the Art and Engineering article written by Debra Nussbaum for the New York Times, Sergio describes his feeling for lighting like a passionate relationship: "Lighting is the greatest love affair of my life" he said. "Without lighting, there is nothing." Based on Sergio's lifelong impulse to unify art, design and architecture, the designs he creates represent the fulfilment of his ideals.
In 1989 Orozco established his successful design company and licensing program attracting many national and international clients with a variety of products manufactured around the world.

Solid Brass
The French artisans call it “Bronze Véritable”, real bronze, to distinguish from other imitations that flood the market.
True Bronze is not a shade or hue of colour but determined by the comprised of a two-thirds copper base, combined with either pewter or zinc. Real bronze fixtures are not painted but chemically treated or plated with precious or semiprecious metals to achieve different finishes.
Traditional high-end bronze chandeliers are sand casted, which provides the best and most intricate detailing.
Real bronze fixtures are timeless in beauty and maintain their value; real bronze pieces are represented in museums both here and abroad.
